I read today in a prayer the words:
You spend Yourself on each of us…
What does this mean, Lord?
What is the price of
Some woven thorns?
Two beams of wood?
The price of all of these items is the same and I AM never spent!
He then told me this story…
A coin leaves from its maker into the world of circulation.
It is spent on item after item, year after year,
Sometimes it is exchanged for good promise
And other times traded for the destructive.
Until one day, it returns to its maker where its movement ceases.
I ask you- did its worth ever change?
